It has been a good one week in Hua Hin; with the odd chill temperature, the strong wind, and the warmth and friendly people at Hua Hin made it a nice place to have weddings. Well, these explain our second trip to Hua Hin for wedding shoot.
This time around our Dubai couple, Kunal and Rashmi has their guests flew in from near and far to join their week long wedding festivities at Sheraton Hua Hin. Their wedding has nothing less than any other destination weddings. They have planned everything to the finest detail, from daily programs to venue decor and set-up, the guests was thrown with a fun-filled week long celebration; from having a Masquerade party night where Kunal DJ-ed on-stage, a crazy-fun poolside party where Kunal was thrown into the pool, Kunal rode on horse to pick up his bride-Rashmi, to performing a dance on sangeet night! Well, that was our handsomely cool groom. On the other hand, our pretty bride-Rashmi has quite some sentimental moment, she got teary during the Pooja and Wedding ceremony.. we could tell she is the darling in the family, very closely attached to parents, in fact her father almost tear when he was giving speech on reception night. It was rather a sentimental night for all.
Without much ado, presenting to you.. Kunal + Rashmi Hua Hin Wedding Highlight…
Happy Valentine's Day to all lovers and newly-wedded couples out there. We would like to begin this wonderful and meaningful v-day with our gorgeous Sindhi wedding from Chennai, India. Not only was the wedding gorgeous, the couple was absolute stunning!
" You'll have 2 kids, 1 boy and 1 girl " was the exact sentence from the fortune teller. Well, we were not surprised to hear that. When we were with Kavi and Sonica for the wedding week, we could see that they are so immensely in love with each other, both couldn't take their eyes off one another. Sonica is such a sweetheart, despite being the bride, she would always put others before herself. She even took the extra effort to ensure that each of us receives a welcome gift-bag upon check-in, and always ask if everything is alright with us, our rooms and etc... Well, we have no complaints but thousands of thank you to sonica, kavi and both their families for everything that they have arranged for us and for preparing an amazing contentful wedding week! The guests had so much fun at all the functions and there is no excuse not to loveee all the different functions; point 1- they have a different theme decor (with attention to details) for every function which is mind-blowing! : point 2- food is prepared to follow the theme : point 3- the open bar is always filled with liquors and it's free-flow, so everyone could party all day and night long! : point 4- the couple was gorgeous, hosting was great, guests were sporting!
Well, speaking of Kavi and Sonica's guests, about 350 of them flew in from near and far, to name a few; South Africa, Dubai, Shanghai, HongKong, Indonesia, UK and etc. When most of them know that we're from Malaysia, some would start converse in chinese, cantonese and malay with us. It was really nice and warmth of them... :)
Without much ado, let us present to you the wedding highlight video which was premiered to all the wedding guests on their reception night. After seeing the video, most of them came to us saying that they shed tears while watching, and were glad that the couple had us to film their wedding. Okay, enough of say, do let it load fully and turn on your speakers to enjoy fully!! :D
We kick-start our very first wedding assignment for 2011 in Baroda, Gujarat India last week with our Sydney-based couple, Kanav and Disha. It was a wonderful journey; as we have been waiting for today for quite a while. No doubt it involved quite a bit of travelling; we flew in from KUL-Delhi-Baroda(Gujarat), nevertheless we enjoyed our trip, as we were fortunate to have the opportunity to see a fair bit of Delhi city and experience the peaceful lifestyle and the nice weather of Baroda. It's rather a different experience.
Kanav who is a punjabi, while Disha a gujarati, has decided to have a truly gujarati wedding back in Disha's hometown, Baroda. Having met the lovely couple back in November in Sydney for the first time, we thought to ourselves that they are rather a shy, quiet and gentle type of couple. Yes, Disha is such a nice, simple and adorable girl; whilst Kanav is rather the shy, cool and mr. nice guy type. Well at least that was our first impression. Little did we know that Kanav is not the exact shy guy that we thought he was when we shot their wedding. Kanav, is indeed one interesting groom. He is super outgoing, super cool, super considerate, super nice and super cute. They are simply outgoing and definitely know how to enjoy themselves. Boy, we were shocked to see them on the dance floor, knowing their knack. Well, not just them, the whole bunch of their relatives and friends enjoyed themselves to the fullest, kanav's best buddies would hike up the atmosphere by expressing their fullest blessing to the newly-wed with singing and dances! It was quite intimate and personal, fun-filled wedding. We had much fun shooting their wedding; apart from disha and kanav's hospitality, disha's dad has always been there to ensure that we're doing okay, he would chat with us when he sees us, and he's one cute and adorable dad. Now we see where Disha's adorable gene comes from. ;)
Ps: Thank you so much again to Kanav, Disha, both family members and friends for the great hospitality, generosity, care and attention during our stay in Delhi and Baroda. Was truly a new experience. :) Finally, we wish you both a happy married life! =))
Hari and Losni's wedding was our first wedding and love story filming coverage in Sydney. Hari and Losni is one unique couple. Boy, where do we start... Okay, first off, they are pretty spontaneous and playful couple. It is rare to find such great combination couple who are meant for one another. Trust me, when we say they are playful, it's meant to be a positive compliment. Reason being, we had so much fun shooting their concept love story video. During the discussion, Hari has expressed their idea to incorporate an old school bollywood-tamil hit song dance-moves into their love story. And during the shoot within Sydney city, we were fascinated and shocked by how spontaneous and natural they were, well.. Hari has got the "click" with the dance moves whilst Losni is natural by heart, there were not many re-takes needed with them.. it all came so natural. We loved it when Hari does the cool "Saturday night fever" moves on the street. If you think his opening moves are awesome, check out the awesomely-cheesy dance moves of theirs when the old-school bollysong make a hit in the love story video below. It's quite awe-spiring when Hari and Losni admit that they have been visualizing the entire dance scene for the past months prior to the shoot! They wanted to add the song in as this song meant a lot to their parents, and so they wanted to bring back some nostalgia on their reception night; to make it a part of their parents' night too!!
Okay, enough of the tease, here we present to you "Hari + Losni Sydney Love Story" video...
Latha and Shree is one of the few couples who cherish wedding video more than anything else. Latha is a really nice girl; like any girl out there who dreams and wish to have the best for her wedding. On the wedding day, latha was still worried if things did not go well on stage, and asked if everything was okay for the video shoot during the break of saree-changing time. Her mum and herself was very much concern of the video output; they had arranged the lightings to fit for video and ascertain that we would have the best angle coverage on stage.
Alright, without much ado, let us present to you Latha & Shree wedding highlight… Enjoy!!
Doodle Studio team will be traveling from November until February to the following cities, do drop us an email if you would like to have a " meet & chat " session with us.
Wedding Date: 10th January 2009 Reception Venue: Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya Groom: Dr. Danny Lim Bride: Dr. Kirstie Liew (a.k.a Hui Lan) Photography: Grant Corban Videography: Doodle Studio Song and Artist: Better Together by Jack Johnson
Joke: How will you or anyone ever describe a doctor marrying a doctor? Answer: " It's like BUY one GET one FREE... "
(LOL) Haha... This is a joke given by one of the speakers on the dinner reception night, and it got everyone laughing away. Just in case some of you are still in doubts, both the Groom & Bride are doctors!
Well, that was just a teaser or head-start before the real story comes in... Here goes...
Year 2009 marks a whole new chapter for both Dr. Danny (groom) and Dr. Kirstie (bride), who have been together through all good and bad times since the year 2002. Danny met Kirstie during his trip to Venice and from then onwards, had tried many many ways to win her heart. At first his attempt was to no avail as Kirstie was somehow playing hard to get. But thanks to his many attempts and persistency, his hard work got paid off when they finally started dating back in UK. From then onwards, everything was history.
In year 2006, Danny proposed to Kirstie and she said 'yes'. It was then they had decided to migrate to Melbourne (Australia) in order to start a new life together. We were told that it was not easy for Kirstie as she had to give up her work back in UK. But it is all worth it as seeing both of them happily married to each other and starting a family in Melbourne, in the hope to start up a medical practice together in the future.
It certainly was not easy for both of them to have came through to this stage. Yet nothing is impossible. ;)
On their wedding dinner reception, we certainly did not expect a doctor to come up with a fantastic yet heartfelt powerpoint slide of their love journey for his wife! I must say he had seriously put up a whole lot of time and efforts to make this powerpoint slide. During the powerpoint presentation, Kirstie was touched by his work and could not resist to tear! Well, we all felt the love as well, let alone her.
The wedding was all good as things went smooth and as planned (except for there was a short delay at groom's place in the morning as it appeared that the 'heng dais' were not on time... hehe) Above all, the videography went well as the newly-wed were friendly, nice, coorperative and spontaneous. Hmm... what can we say, we have never seen the cheeky side of Kirstie, not until the moment when we were scrubbing through the tapes for shots to insert into their SDE (Same-Day-Edit) wedding video (the SDE was screened to guests in the reception night).
Stay tuned for the complete wedding highlights which will be posted up soon! :)
Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to present to you... Danny + Kirstie's SDE video...
Wedding Date: 14th December 2008 Wedding Venue: Sri Sakthi Easwari Temple Hall, ss3 Sungei Way Subang, Selangor Reception Venue: Holiday Villa Hotel, Subang Selangor Groom: Gokula Krishnan Bride: Mohanaapriya Photography: Camwork Photo Videography: Doodle Studio Props: Doodle Studio Song and Artist: I Wanna Grow Old With You by Westlife
Another match-made in heaven, a beautiful couple, a well-sustained long distance relationship, another love story unfold by Doodle Studio. The gorgeous and stunning TV1 newscaster (who was the winner of Miss Malaysia India 2000) has finally tied the knot with the man of her life and moved over to the Middle East to start on their new chapter there.
Their love story did not just blossom in the recent one or two years. They have known each other since they were in kindie (they were only 6 years old then!) Little did they know that the God had already made such an arrangement for them back then. Twelve years later, it was destined that Gokul meet Mohana again as both met at extra chemistry classes during form 6.
Upon completion of Form 6, both Gokul and Mohana went separate ways to further studies and venture into their career lives for nearly 10 years while constantly keeping touch as friends. It wasn't until one sunny day 2 years back, when Gokul got back from his work in Cairo, Egypt for holidays, did things change. They met as usual for coffee. And there goes, one coffee led to another, they became closer and closer to each other. As time passes, Gokul realised that the soul mate that he has been looking for was actually sitting just right across the table in the Starbucks cafe.
On 14th December 2008, they have finally tied the knot at the Sri Sakthi Easwari Temple Hall and it was our pleasure to have witnessed their celebration of love. Certainly, being the ex-Miss Malaysia India and Newscaster did not put Mohana on camera-shy.. as all cameras like her! She looks superb photogenic in the video and photos, and she was always in the limelight! All her media friends came to their wedding not just with happy hearts and wedding gifts, they tagged along their DSLR cameras as well! At first all the guests were seated quietly in the hall observing the ceremony. But shortly after half an hour, all their media friends came up front with their DSLRs in order to capture a better angle and more artistic shots of both the Groom & Bride! **phew** You could imagine them having all the limelights and "click click click" "zap zap zap" through out the whole wedding ceremony. They really were the attention of the day. Hm.. this is a sight which i have never seen in an Indian wedding before... (i mean with all her "fans" there!) ;)
Despite being the ex-Miss Malaysia India, a model and a newscaster, Mohana is nice to work with as both Gokul and herself were co-operative during the video-shoots.
Thanks Gokul & Mohana for your kindness. May best wishes be with them always ... from us, Doodle Studio.
Let's not put you on hold for too long. Here goes the long awaited wedding video.... presenting to you... in 3... 2.... 1.. Enjoy!

Another match-made in heaven, a beautiful couple, a well-sustained long distance relationship... another love story unfold by Doodle Studio. **sshh..** As for the rest of the story, i will save the best for last. ;) It will be up together with the music video post real soon. Stay tuned!
Here are some random photos snapped on Gokul and Mohana's wedding day. We, of course could not resist to snap some photos for our keepsake. ;)
Although they are random photos but it is actually (almost) in sequence. Yeap, i deliberately arranged them in such a way so that you could see the flow.
